Dear Family and Friends…
God has envisioned our family with a calling to “educate and equip with skills while we share the love of Christ.” With an invitation from Ron and Shirley DeVore, Directors of World Outreach Ministries Foundation (WOMF), we began to carry out this vision in 2001. World Outreach launched a new College to teach and train Ugandans in Biblical studies. The Bible College has been very successful.
Uganda, being a third world country, is hungry for skills of the 21st century and we see the blessing we can be in educating them with the skills God has given us. God laid Uganda on our hearts when we spent three months here and saw the great desire of the Ugandans to learn. This desire was so great that we had to turn away a number of students in preliminary computer classes we offered while there.
In May of 2002 we started a Computer College with the Bible College students. Along with teaching Bible Geography and the Book of Acts we have started a Business Computer education track. We taught introduction to Computers, Typing, Word Processing, Spread Sheets, and other office related skills. Have had many Students complete the Introduction to Computers class. This class is a foundation class for all other computer related classes.
In January 2003 we started a new year. Our vision was enlarged to include the entire Masaka District in Uganda. We will be overseeing many ministries and projects for WOMF.
In 2004 we continued to enlarge the vision. We started to over see the entire south and west regions of Uganda.
In 2006 we moved back to our national headquarter in Seguku (6 Miles from Kampala) to become the Executive Manager over all of Uganda for WOMF. Our heart and vision is still “educate and equip with skills while we share the love of Christ.”
In 2008 we started to help in the oversight of East Africa for WOMF. The work is large but rewarding.
The family has grown over the years. Breanna is now a mom. David is taller than Scott. Sarah is as beautiful as every. Matthew is becoming a great young man. Nathanael is still; teaching us new phrases. Bethany is making us young again.
